The Witcher season 3 is set to be released in 2023. Before the mother series, we will be getting a limited prequel series called The Witcher: Blood Origin in December 2022 on Netflix. Along with Blood Origin, several Witcher projects are under development including an animated spin-off and an especially kid’s series.

The Witcher: Blood Origin Cast
Sophia Brown will play Eile who uses knives as the main weapon and Mirren Mack will play Merwyn. Sophia was previously seen in Netflix’s Giri/Haji and Mirren Mack is known for Mudlarks.
Laurence O’Faurain will play the role of Fjall Stoneheart. He was previously seen in Rebellion and Vikings. Fjall is a physically strong, gritty, and visceral character. Fjall possibly becomes the continent’s first Witcher.
Jacob Collins-Levy will play Captain Eredin. The actor was cast in The Witcher Season 2 for his older version. This character is the main connection between the mothership series and the prequel.

The Witcher: Blood Origin Timeline
A short synopsis of The series was released with the announcement that said that the Blood Origin is set at 1,200 years before the events of The series, in an elvish civilization that has yet to interact with humans or monsters. It follows a trio of warrior elves who will become entangled with the creation of the first prototype Witcher. It also spans the events leading up to the Conjunction of the Spheres — the moment the human, elf, and monster worlds collide.
