Sony and Constantin Film have teamed up for brand new ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City’ that is already out in cinemas for people to watch. Although the movie is not on the list of best-reviewed, you might be wondering whether the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will be there on Netflix or not.

This is the movie that features some of the most familiar faces, Tom Hopper is one of the star cast in the movie. He is one who is best known for his role in The Umbrella Academy. Robbie Amell is another one who is star cast in the movie. Developed to be faithful to the Capcom games, this is the film that was set in 1998 and tells the whole of the story about what happened to the infamous town that got ravaged by the evil from Umbrella Corporation.

It has been mentioned that this is not the best-reviewed title but is there with it only carrying a 5.6 on IMDb and is having 28% ratings on RottenTomatoes. If you are interested to skip Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in cinemas, then you must know that the movie will not be there on Netflix.

It is unlikely. Instead of striking a deal with Sony in 2021 for first window rights to future movies, it does not kick until 2022. The first movie that is going to come from this deal is Morbius.

Instead, the movie is going to head to Starz in the first window and will take over from 2022. Therefore, this is very much disappointing for all the fans of Netflix.

Outside the US, there are some regions that are going to get new Sony movies between 2-3 years after their theatrical release. The same is expected with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City as well. However, there are no updates yet about the release of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
