Following the exemplary global success of Heartbreak High Season One, Netflix has made an official announcement about its second season which is set to premiere on the OTT giant on April 11, 2024. The streaming service shared the news of Heartbreak High Season 2 in a newsletter on Monday, January 29.
‘Heartbreak High’, aired in September 2022 and soon became a hit the streamer, topping charts across the world to become the most-watched Netflix series of all time.
Introduction of the New High School Teachers
The second season of Heartbreak High will see Angus Sampson and Timothy High joining Hartley High. While Angus is the new P.E. Head, Timothy turns out to play a tough sports teacher.
The New List of Students
Not just new teachers, but Heartbreak High Season 2 unfolds two new students, Sam Rechnar and Kartanya Maynard. In the forthcoming series, Sam poses as an avid fan of old movies and Maynard as a resident of Tasmania. And with them, the second part is expected to introduce a fresh stroke of energy.
Return of Familiar Faces
Besides the above-mentioned list of fresh faces introduced, the series is likely to feature a bunch of familiar faces. While, the list includes,2023 Logie nominees Ayesha Madon, Chloé Hayden and 2023 Logie winner and 2022 AACTA winner Thomas Weatherall, as well as James Majoos, Asher Yasbincek, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend and Josh Heuston.
