Season 1 of The Order was dropped on Netflix on March 7, 2019. The series was renewed and picked up for a second season on June 18, 2020, after receiving a great response from the teenage audience. But no one expected that the fate of the series would be bleak.
Season 2 of the series was released on Netflix in the summer of 2020. After back-and-forth production delays, the series was eventually canceled. After props began selling, the series’ screenwriter confirmed that the series was canceled after two seasons and would never return.

It was a bad sign enough that in November 2020 bad news arrived, with screenwriter Dennis Heaton tweeting and announcing that the show had been canceled. He expressed his feelings for being a part of an incredible show and expressed his gratitude towards the audience.
Heaton consoled devastated fans by revealing a bit of where the story could go in the next season via a tweet.

What could we expect to see in The Order season 3?
Season 2 left us with a lot of unanswered questions. The first thought that came to mind is ‘Is Alyssa alive or dead?’. Possessed by the Midnight Werewolf, Gabrielle kills Alyssa at the end of season 2. We saw Jack carrying Alyssa’s lifeless corpse through the woods. He also possessed Vade Maecum, the most powerful spell in the world. With such a powerful magical force in his possession, Jack can find a way to raise Alyssa from the dead.
We can see Gabrielle running away from the clutches of the Midnight Werewolf. Vera regains her magic from Alyssa and many other things.
